A Chinon Bellami ultra compact 35mm camera with dedicated flashgun, manuals and fitted case. I last used this camera two years ago with excellent results as attached example.
The Bellami is a well made scale focusing camera very similar in form and function to the Olympus XA series and the various Minox types. It has a 35mm f’2.8 Chinonex Color Lens. The barn doors and retractable lens are opened and closed with the film advance lever. A very easy to use camera to get into film, great for street photography, for example from the hip – the distance scale is visible from above.
The camera is fully working and usable and in good cosmetic shape, no obvious dents or scratches, just minor scuffing here and there. It runs off two standard 1.5V button batteries. The light seals are intact if a little sticky but I think they are OK.
The programmed exposure and shutter work and respond to light well, with a green light for OK and a red light camera shake warning.. Film advance and rewind and the frame counter all work properly.
The flashgun works – after I cleaned the corroded battery contact (pictured), I also cleaned the contacts between flash and camera.
The case and manuals are in good condition.
