This is an 872 Autozoom battery operated Super 8 cine camera made by Chinon in Japan around 1971. The camera is in excellent cosmetic condition with just one or two very minor marks from wear and tear over the years (see photos). The camera takes 4 x 1.5v AA batteries (not supplied). It is in good operational condition and runs on all three speeds – 18, 24 and (slow motion) 48 frames per second – as well as single frame. The aperture and focus are both smooth to operate. The lens is a Chinon Reflex Zoom f/1.7 which appears to be in excellent condition. The light meter takes a PX625 battery (not supplied) and this is untested.

Dimensions of the camera are 21 x 17 x 7.5cm and the camera weighs a solid 1.38kg without the batteries.
Overall this is an excellent example of this well made 8mm cine camera, now almost 50 years old.
This camera has not been tested with film. Any camera of this age would probably benefit from a general mechanical service if you intend to use it. I check all lenses for fungus as best I can, but do not guarantee that any lens is entirely fungus free. I recommend having any lens professionally cleaned if you intend to use the camera. Due to the age of this camera it is being sold as seen without warranty.
