This is a RARE Canon-VT Vintage Japanese Rangefindercamera.It is the body only. It comes with a take up spool built in.The camera is in good condition for its age, as can be seen in thepictures.It has been serviced and tested and is in very nice working order.It works on all speeds correctly, including the slow speed dial.The shutters are light tight, smooth and quiet.The rangefinder has been calibrated and the glass is clean andclear.The patch is easily visible.The serial number is 517022, and it was made in 1956.This is a very nice usable and collectable camera.The Canon-VT was the first Canon camera to have ahinged back, which opened to allow film loading. It was also the first Canoncamera to be fitted with a lever in the base plate to for rapid film advanceThe shutter speeds are:
B,30, X,60,125,250,500,1000 + T,1,2,4,8,15,30 (slow speed dial)The last picture shows how you should hold the camera whenwinding on film (cocking the shutters) when using the rapid film advance. You shouldnever have your hand on top of the camera when doing this. It can stop theshutter speed dial turning and snap the chain in the camera base.
