CanonSure Shot Zoom XL – Good condition Introduced by Canon in 1989, this was a fairly expensive premium grade point and shoot. It features a 39-85mm f/3.6-7.3 S.C. coated lens composed of 9 elements in 8 groups that supposedly gave results as good as Canon’s FD lenses. A fully automatic zoom compact camera using an SPC (silicon photocell) for a triangulation auto focus system. The near-infrared beam for auto focusing is also used for AF assist in low light. The direct zoom viewfinder gives a clear image area. The built-in flash’s Guide No. is11.8 to 14.4 (at ISO 100 in m). It zooms automatically to match the focal length. The handy remote (shown in picture 2) stows away at the bottom of the camera. It of course allows you to get in the picture or to take pictures from a tripod without touching the camera. It also has an immediate release, a two second delay, and allows you to set three different focal lengths on the zoom. The camera comes with the remote, neck strap and original Canon case.
