Canon EOS 500N Silver Kit, EF 35-80 Zoom Lens
new, boxed & Canon EH8L Case
This listing is for a Canon EOS 500N kit, bought in 1999 and never used and also a genuine Canon EH8L case also bought in 1999 (complete with receipt for 31.90), unfortunately I haven’t found the receipt for the camera yet (still looking).
This Canon EOS 500N is completely immaculate, having never been used. The boxed set is exactly as when I received it more than 20 years ago, including the original batteries which do not work. Working batteries are NOT included in this auction, I borrowed some batteries to check that the camera is functioning correctly and to remove the (unused) film that was put in the camera more than 20 years ago.
There is a small issue with screen, some of the LCD segments are not as dark as others or not showing up, though this might improve with new batteries. Please be aware of this and check the photos, to the best of my knowledge this should not impact the functioning of the camera. ie. it should still take photos properly.

The Canon EOS 500N was in introduced in 1996 and replaced in 1999.
The Canon EOS 500N is a 35mm Single-Lens Reflex film camera, weighing at 370g. The only colors available were black or a mix of silver and black. One of the features is that the Canon EOS 500N has an EF lens mount making it compatible with any EF lens. The viewfinder offers a 0.7x magnification, 90% coverage, center auto focus, wide auto focus and many more.
The Canon EOS 500N shooting modes consisted of 6 basic modes, full auto, portrait, landscape, macro, sports and night scene. It also has 5 advanced modes, P, Av, Tv, M, A-DEP. The camera features a built in flash, and it had a frame per second rate of 1(FPS). The fastest shutter speed with flash was measured at 1/90 of a second.
