For sale; a Canon Demi half-frame camera, for 72 exposures on a 36 exp. roll of 35mm film. The camera is in non-functioning condition; it neither winds nor fires, although, surprisingly, the selenium meter is still quite lively after half a century! (See last two photos). The orange follower moves in the meter window when the shutter ring is turned. The 28mm f2.8 lens looks to be in clean, bright condition. The camera is in unrestored condition and shows general signs of handling wear, including a shallow ding to the left of the viewfinder. The light-sealing foam has turned to sticky dust over the years… someone else can have the fun of cleaning it off! The 4-blade diaphragm opens asymmetrically (Photo 12) which may have something to do with its non-working condition. I can’t see any obvious signs that the camera has been opened up, so whatever is ailing it presumably still lies inside, waiting to be discovered. I bought the camera as a restoration project years ago and it has spent at least a decade sitting in my cupboard. It’s unlikely I’ll bother tackling it in the near future, so it’s time to offer it as a project for someone else’s amusement. Auction only; if you need any further details or photos, please ask!
