ANTIQUE THORNTON PICKARD SPECIAL RUBY REFLEX CAMERA 1/4 PLATE – COMPLETE SET
Circa 1920’s (?) Thornton Pickard Special Ruby plate camera, complete with rollback (still containing a film), three double dark quarter plate holders (1 to 6), and Kodak Film Pack adaptor.
Retailed by Sands, Hunter & Co. London. Aldis Anastigmat f34 525 in Focus, around lens housing.
The focusing works smoothly, the roll shutter appears to work, but not otherwise tested.
Lots of wear to the camera body, some of the catches need adjustments, the hood is decayed and needs repair/replacement. Dusty and not tested, in original canvas case missing closing straps.
Sold for restoration or display.
