Agfa Super Isolette Rangefinder Camera with Agfa Solinar 75mm 1:3.5 lensExcellend condition, shows some sign of age but in good working order.I always recoomend a competant engineer to CLA the camera to get the best out of it.
A lovely compact high quality Medium Format Rangefinder camera with acoupled rangefinder.  All shutter speeds are good, camera winds on and works as it should. The auto-stop feature Frame counter (no red window) works as it should Unit focusing works well if a little stiff. Please note; you have to focus the camera at infinity to close the front (designed into the system to stop the lens being damaged) Very minor marks to back of top and base plate. See images for details. Viewfinder/Rangefinder bright and clear. The PC flash contact still works. There is a very tiny thread of fungus in one of the lens elements but complete CLA should be able to sort this if pointed out. There are small amounts of dust in the lens elements too but nothing that will effect the resulting images from this fantstic camera. No batteries required! The camera is completely manual. Dated around 1956.  German built and still a quality camera. Technical Details:The AGFA Super Isolette first came out in 1954 and produced for about3-4 years as Agfas top of the line 66 folder. The Super is a very sturdycamera, solidly built and with a bit of heft to match. The main feature of theSuper Isolette is that it is a rack focusing system where the entire lens movesto focus, not just the front cell of the lens as in so many folders. Many saythis is a much desired system as it provides for more accurate focusing. Thecoupled rangefinder of the Super Isolette is very accurate and not toodifficult to fine tune should you have to. The Super Isolette has a Synchro-Compur shutter. The shutter issynchronized for flash, you can use any electronic flash on the camera as longas it has a PC cord. Shutter speeds are from 1 sec. to 1/500 plus B.The Super Isolette also has a very excellent film advance system. Youload the film, close the back, and wind till the counter stops at 1. All youneed do next is cock the shutter and trip the shutter button to take a picture. The advance lock is released and the camera allows you to advance the film tothe next frame. Simple, precise, and sophisticated at the same time.Camera Technical Data:       Lens: Agfa Solinar 75mm 1:3.5       4 element (coated) Lens       Focal Length: 75mm       Film Type: 120 film, medium format, widely available online.        There is a film-type reminder on the left, in a knurled disc matchingthe film-advance.       Negative Size: 6x6cm       Filter: 32mm push onor 29.5 mm screw-in ones       Aperture: f/3.5 up to f/22 setting: ring and scale on the lens-shutterbarrel       Focus range: 1m to infinity.
