This is a used Agfa Solinette II 35mm folding viewfinder camera manufactured circa 1955 with its original leather case. It has an Apotar 3.5/50mm lens and a Prontor SV shutter. Body serial number is ZK4874; Lens serial number is 47667.

Unfortunately the shutter is sticking, and won’t open at all unless the cocking lever is pushed after the shutter button is pressed. My guess is that the oil has gone sticky with age – it can probably be fixed by someone who knows what they’re doing, but that isn’t me. In other respects it seems to be in good condition, with no fungus in the lens or viewfinder or damage to the body. The bellows is undamaged and the folding mechanism still works well. There is slight pitting that looks like corrosion on the shutter housing. The case is complete but some of the stitching at the bottom is broken, I think it can easily be fixed.

While this needs some work to be usable as a working camera, it might be useful as a stage or screen prop, or as a non-working display camera, since it is in good cosmetic condition.

As usual I’m starting low and with no reserve. I’m separately selling lenses and other photographic equipment. If you buy multiple items from me please request an invoice with combined postage before paying, I will always try to bring the costs down as much as I can. I do not make any profit on postage.

International buyers: The postage price shown is based on an estimate of packed weight, expected to be around 800g; if it turns out to be cheaper than expected I will refund the balance.
