The 1035 was one of Agfa’s Optima Sensor Electronic series, and featured a self-timer (lever below the view finder), zone focusing information visible in the viewfinder, a top shutter speed of 1/1000th sec., and a multi-coated 40 mm/2.8 Agfa Solitar lens (4 elements, 3 groups). The Optima 1035 pictured here sits second from the top of the line-up feature-wise. It is a zone-focus camera with a fully automatic exposure system based on the Agfa Paratronic electronic shutter. Despite its introduction at a time when plastic was already being used extensively in camera manufacture, the Agfa is mostly made of metal with a very durable black coating. Some parts are made of plastic but the overall feel is a solid, durable camera. A prominent feature of the camera is the HUGE bright viewfinder. It is close in size and brightness to viewfinders found in premium rangefinders and makes using the camera a joy.

I purchased the camera about a year and one half ago and put several rolls of film through it. I am selling it because I enjoy bigger SLR cameras better than rangefinder or zone focus cameras. It is a very nice copy and you will have fun with it.
