One roll of Agfa Ansco Superpan Supreme 35mm 36 exposure b&w film “for Leica and similar cameras” from 1943 with all its American original packaging

The outer carton is in clean unfaded condition with some mild rubbing at the edges and one flap is almost detached. Date marked February 1943.

The film has been wound into its cartridge which still carries the “develop in total darkness” label. I have no idea whether it has been exposed or not.

The cardboard storage tube is in perfect condition and bears the message that “in co-operation with the defense program the use of aluminum containers has been discontinued”.

The instruction and information leaflet has some light staining but is otherwise in original condition. This relates to a number of Agfa film stocks: Ultra-Speed Panchromatic, Superpan Supreme, Finopan, Fine-Grain Plenachrome, Infra-Red and Superpan Reversible.

An extremely rare (almost unique probably) survivor from the USA’s wartime history.
