For sale is a beautiful Eumig Viennette 2 Super 8 movie camera from 1967.
Included is the original lined camera case, instruction manual, warranty card, and even the receipt from the camera shop on the ‘rive droite’ in Paris from where it was purchased, 52 years ago.
I put batteries in but couldn’t get it to work. I think there’s an issue with the battery contacts – if you’re a bit handy with things like this you could probably get it going.
Overall it’s in pretty nice condition. The buttons and switches all move and click, the bit where the film goes looks clean, and the lens looks good. There are scratches and scuffs all over, and a bit of corrosion on the metal bits, but all things commensurate with age. The inside of the battery compartment has a fair bit of corrosion – presumably someone left batteries in too long at some point.
