1946 LEICA IIIc in LARGE LEITZ OUTFIT CASE  + 1934 BEHOO CLOSE-UP OUTFIT, 1 BROCHURE, 1937 PRICE LIST, 3 INSTRUCTION BOOKS

CONDITION
This first-batch postwar LEICA IIIc, #404639 is cosmetically in about Excellent+ condition, and appears lightly used.

The top and base show just a few light bright marks, with just a very little wear showing on the edges of the slow speed dial, and one small mark on the baseplate edge. Otherwise the chrome is near perfectespecially the top platewhich as you may know is quite unusual for these immediate post-WW2 Leicas. The vulcanite covering is deep black, firmly mounted, no chips or hollow spots. Slight edge wear showing on the VF eyepiece.
Slow speeds and 1/1000th are tending to hang up, other speeds sound good. Wind-on just a trifle heavy. VF is bright, the RF appears accurate but the second image is a bit faint (OK in bright light), so the camera is due for a CLA, which will certainly set it up for another 25 – 30 years. The blinds look to be in fine condition. With lug rings and a body cap (chrome generic).
The 1934 SUMMAR/ELMAR BELOO appears complete, for Summar/Elmar M 1:15, 1:2 & 1.3. The BELOO RED BOX has some repairs.
The LEITZ SCREWMOUNT OUTFIT CASE, 12.5″ x 11.25″ x 3.5″, with a double fastener, is outstanding, inside and out, one of the best I’ve seen. Red velvet interior. Lovely exterior leather, near unmarked. Slight strap wear, but nevertheless they still look fairly strong. No keys This case is a great choice for safely storing a Leica Screwmount body and up to five lenses, with a bunch of accessories.
The “Leica Chronicle” BROCHURE (early ’70s) is in good shape, slight edge darkening, no tears. The 1937 Leica PRICE LIST is near perfect, and the three INSTRUCTION BOOKSLeica Meter, 1931 BEHOO Hilfs-Gerate (in German), and the late 1940s-early ’50s IIIC INSTRUCTION BOOK are all in good condition.
The LEICAMETER MC is excellent cosmetically and good for display but, like most non-working. The filters are various sizes, all non-Leitz, condition varies, but most are OK. No film or cassettes in the six film containers, also non-Leitz.
VALUECollectiblend values the postwar Leica IIIc (Serial # 400,000 and up) in Very Good condition at $360 – $380, Mint at $600 – $700. Leitz Outfit Cases in excellent shape (which most aren’t), seem to attract about $150 – $300.
I ship internationally, items declared as “Used film camera & accessories”. For shipment to Asia, I will need your address in Roman characters, as well as Asian.
